Baby bird

So as I was walking home from a neighbors house the other day I noticed something furry moving in the driveway. At first I thought it was a mouse. But then got a little closer and noticed it was a baby bird. The thing was so cute it was just hoping around it was so small it had to have just been born and learning how to walk. I quickly grabbed Dave and Kade to come take a look at it. We tried to figure how in the world the poor thing ended up in the driveway and where its mom was. We called the animal shelter and humane society to see what we should do with it, unfortunately they had closed for the day. We decided to make it a little nest and hope its mom would come back for it. As it started to get dark and the mother had not shown up we decided to keep it in a safer place in case a cat were to stumble upon it. We put it in a box on top of our garbage can for the night. The next morning we set it under our big tree in the back yard in hopes of him finding his mother. Unfortunately the mother never came back. But the good news is my husband called the humane society which does not deal with wildlife but gave him a number of a guy that rescued birds. He took the bird to the man. He said it was a baby quail and that he would be just fine.

WALL-E The countdown is finally over

The countdown is finally over. Kade really enjoys Pixar movies and ever since he saw the trailer to Wall-e he has been so excited to see it. It is really funny because the TV will be on and he hears the trailer and will come running in saying "Wall-e, Wall-e. On Friday (the day it was released) he finally got to see it. It was really funny I never thought he would be so excited but before the movie started he was just yelling Wall-e. The movie was really good, a lot better than I thought it would be. Now Kade only has to wait another six months before it comes out on DVD.

California Trip

Are we CRAZY

Well we did it. My mom, sister, her son Jax, Kade, the twins and I all went to California. We were so excited to get out of the stinky weather we had been having and going to sunny California. All was great the kids were so good on the plane and had so much fun at Disneyland until two days into the trip. It started out sunny and warm until early afternoon while at Disneyland it started to rain, from there on it got worse. We left Disneyland and had a fun filled day in our hotel room. Then it went from bad to worse when Kade and Jax got sick they had runny noses and horrible coughs. While on our adventure home, we were going through security when TSA told us that the people at the counter did not put a lap child on my sisters ticket and she would have to go back and get it fixed. Meanwhile we were already cutting it close to catch our flight. My mom got the ticket fixed and attempted to go through security. She got stopped because her badge she was wearing was beeping so they had to search her and Jaxon who is only 17 months old. Because this took so long we missed our flight, and they didn't have another one until 7:00 the next morning. We trucked through the rain in hopes of getting another rental car. Meanwhile all of our bags did make the flight so all we had was 3 strollers, and whatever was in the diaper bags. To make an even longer story shorter we barley made the early morning flight. Anything that could go wrong did go wrong.
